Jamie Gilbert
(B.Surv)

Director
Licensed Cadastral Surveyor

Jamie began surveying in 2005 as a survey assistant in Blenheim where he gained an appetite for the profession. In 2008 he moved to Dunedin to undertake the Bachelor of Surveying at Otago University. With this completed, in 2011 he moved to Australia and worked on large infrastructure projects working for companies such as Leightons, Abi Group, Fulton Hogan & John Holland. The projects included numerous sections of the Pacific Highway (Roads and Bridges), Rail projects around Newcastle (Rail and Bridges), and Brisbane Airport. The work undertaken in Australia was extremely valuable and taught Jamie the benefits of using modern technology to its potential.
After 3 years in Australia Jamie moved to Christchurch where he gained his Cadastral License. Surveying in Christchurch had its challenges with experience gained in surveying within an earthquake area along with working on multi scale developments.
Since moving back to Blenheim in 2017 Jamie has worked on urban and rural subdivisions across Marlborough (including the Marlborough Sounds), undertaken engineering set-out for the Kaikoura Coast rebuild (Tirohanga Straight, Tarbarrell) and performed all aspects of works involved in aerial mapping projects.
Jamie enjoys working with clients and gains satisfaction from delivering quality results that provide real value, all within in a timely manner.
When not out surveying you might find Jamie with his family out boating/scuba diving, enjoying Marlborough’s outdoors on a day hike, or exploring off-road in his Jeep.
